The President, Christians Association Of Nigeria Rev Dr. Samson Ayokunle on Sunday called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to play politics with the lives of Nigerians.
Rev Dr. Ayokunle made this call while addressing journalists at Orita Mefa Baptist Church, Total Garden Ibadan on the last day of national fasting and prayer as well as protest declared by the association.
He explained that it has become important to take the step of protest because of the way the Federal Government Of Nigeria is handling the issue of Boko Haram who daily are killing Nigerians without recourse to important of human life.
The CAN chairman said the recent killings of Christians in northern part of the nation, the continued incarceration of Leah Sharibu for failing to convert to Islam among many plans to persecute Christians are evidence that the Federal government are also in support of the Boko Haram persecuting Christians.
He counselled President Buhari on the need to overhaul its security architecture so as to put a stop to slaughtering of Christians across the nation.
