In continuation of his effort to seek support for the unification of PDP, in South West, the National Vice Chairman (South West) Ambassador Taofeek was in Lagos to meet with the former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State in his Ikeja residence.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and publicity Ibrahim Bamitale the former Ekiti state governor declared that he’s open to true reconcilation in order to move the party forward.

Earlier, Ambassador Arapaja debunked the information going round that PDP National chairman Prince Uche Secondus mandated him to visit Fayose.

He described it as handwork of detractors who are fanning the embers of discord within the Party.

According to him, “neither the National Chairman of the Party (Chief Uche Secondus) nor the Former Governor Fayose initiated this move for reconcilation but it’s borne out of the initiative of the South West Exco to unify the party in line with the campaign promises.”
