The Oyo State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu has cautioned residents of the state to be on guard and ensure they protect themselves from the two ravaging diseases Corona Virus and Lassa fever.
This warning came less than twenty four hours Nigeria Alert News reported various steps being taken by Oyo NOA to sensitise residents of the state on the need to protect themselves from Corona Virus.
She said even though the Federal Government of Nigeria is already on alert to curb any eventualities of this diseases but it is the responsibilities of the people to protect themselves from the disease.
Mrs Dosunmu advised those farmers that spread and dried their cassava by the road side as always evident on highways to shun such practice as rats and rodents easily passes their urine on such cassava products.
She also stressed the need for people to clear bushes around them so as for them to have more spaces for themselves and chase back rats and rodents hibernating along the bush paths.
He called on media to assist spread the message to every nooks and crannies of the state so as to curb the spread of the diseases.
The NOA state Director also called on people to drink more water and always wash their hands especially when come with contact with sick people while those with poultry, piggery among others should also wash their hands after every contact.
