Popular Ibadan Based Cleric Advocates Religious Tolerance

The founder and spiritual head, Shafaudeen In Islam worldwide Prof Engr. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke has called on people to imbibe the spirit of religious tolerance and eschew violence in the practice of their religion.

Professor Olagoke made this call during his 63rd Bithday anniversary held at the Shafaudeen in Islam worldwide headquarters Wakajaiye Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Professor Olagoke said it is important for people irrespective of their religion to respect that of others and allow religion to achieve its true essence and as a tools to mankind just like he has been able to bring people together under the banner of Shafaudeen.

He added that he has been able to mix with other adherents of other faiths because of his believe on the need to associate and understand the the true meaning of all religion.

In his message, the chairman at the occasion Justice Moshood Adeigbe (Rtd) described the celebrant as a true man of God who understand at all times the needs of the common man.

He stated that Prof Engr Olagoke has always been an advocate of good governance reminding political office holders of the need to fulfilled their electioneering promises to the electorates and as do well do what is right at all times.

The guest preacher at the event also described the celebrant as a true symbol of Excellence in Islam and Islamic scholar and warlord per excellence.

The celebration also features special musical performances, choreography, cutting of the birthday cake among others.
