OYSCHST Organises 2day Orientation Programme For New Students 2020/2021 Session

In line with it’s academic policy aimed at maintaining high standard to protect it’s integrity and leadership status in health education and technology, Eleyele-ibadan has organised A- Two- day orientation programme for new students.

Declaring open the event at the college hall in Eleyele-ibadan , the provost Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu called on the new students to maintain high level of discipline, remain focused and dedicate themselves to their studies to ensure bright success In their academics.

The provost explained that the 2020/2021 academic session hand begum with orientation programme which must be taken serious by student as lectures commence immediately.

Speaking on religious tolerance and peaceful cohabitation among students Dr. Olusegun family urged the new students to tolerance one another and live together in peace irrespective of their religions commenting on sexual behaviour among youths.

Mr rahman olapade implored the new students not to allow pre marital sex and promiscuous enjoyment in order not to jeopardise their future and their academic career.

Welcoming the new students, the registrar of the college, Mrs Dupe Ayoola appealed to them to make use of the available facilities to their advantage for brilliant academic performance emphasising that the college has a standard that is being jealously protected .

The duo of student affairs officer who doubles as head of department environmental health Mr. Afolabi and the college librarian Mr Akinsoji called on the newly admitted students to behave well.

Another invitee, the Deputy Registrar college of medicine, university of Ibadan Dr. Ikeoluwa moody who spoke on expectation and responsibility of students advised students not to be discouraged or distracted in their academic pursuits.

Also contributing at the orientation programme, a civil defense officer Mr Adewoye called on new students to be security cons ious, behave well and protect the integrity of the college.

The new students were also taken through covid-19 lectures include it’s causes, symptoms and prevention by head of department, community health Mrs H.A.A Awotunde while the chairperson, disciplinary sanctions for unruly behaviour and offences includes suspension, summary dismissal urging students not to violate any of the college rules and guidelines.

The two-day orientation on programme was attended by heads of department, principal officers and new students from various departments.
