The Governing Council for Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan in its bid to ensure high standard for the college has embarked on facility visit to assess their position with a view to making recommendation for government intervention.
Addressing management of the college in the office of the provost, the Chairman of the council, Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin commended the management and staff of the college for their cooperation.
In a release by the Public Relation Officer of the college, Sola Samuel Ojewole, the chairman of the council said they had come to make physical assessment of the facilities on ground to present report to the government for attention where necessary.
He commended the Provost of the college, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu for his managerial skills noting with delight that the college was established in 1933 had made enviable achievements in the training of middle level health workers.
Dr Ogundiwin praised Governor Seyi Makinde for paying the needed attention to health and education sectors which form part of the cardinal programme of the PDP led administration.
Welcoming members of the Governing Council to the college, the Provost, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu informed the council members that the management of the college through supports of Governor Seyi Makinde had put in place infrastructural facilities aimed at moving the college forward.
He urged the council to do all within his powers to finetune all arrangement for full autonomy in order for the School to be on the right footing as a foremost tertiary institution in the country adding that the college had attained enviable height through support of members of staff and students.
