Oyo NSCDC parades 8 Alleged Motorcycle Snatchers


No fewer than eight suspects who specialized in snatching of motorcycle in Ibadan metropolis has been arrested and paraded at the Oyo command headquarters of NSCDC Ibadan.

While narrating the incident to newsmen, the state commander Cc Iskilu Akinsanya, said “a young man name Adeyi Olalekan, 25yrs(M), a resident of Awososo area of Apata was stopped by one of the suspects at 0630hours of Sunday 12th July,2020 to take him to transformer NNPC Area of Apata and was later attacked with a locally made gun and knife before catting away his motorcycle.

One of the suspects fell while catting away the motorcycle and was apprehended by the men of the NSCDC at Johnson Awe area of Apata who later help in the arrest of the remaining suspects by the intelligence and investigation department of the NSCDC.

The suspects names are as follows Mustapha Suleiman,35yrs, Sanni Ataka 37yrs,Sarafadeen Amodu 29yrs, Muktaka Gambo 17yrs, Abubakar Ibraheem 27yrs, Haruna Adamu 28yrs, Ado Adamu 29yrs and Lamidi Saidu 28yrs.

The suspects were arrested with 1 local Gun, 6 phones, 1 NIMC ID Card, 3 red Boxer motorcycles with the following registration numbers OSUN BDS 725 QR, OYO MNY 929 QM and OGUN JGB 136 WF.

The state commandant appreciates the people of awososo area of Apata for supporting the security agencies in apprehending the suspects.

He calls for more cooperation from the people of oyo state in apprehending and exposing criminals in their Neighborhoods by giving timely information to NSCDC and other sisters agencies in the state to curb crime and criminality.
