Oyo NSCDC Calls For Calm From Protesters.

The Oyo state commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp Iskilu Akinsanya has called on protesters across the state to obey constituted authorities and harness the opportunity accrued in NSCDC Peace and conflict resolution unit before or when expressing their grievances.

Mr Akinsanya made the call while addressing all Divisional officers , peace and conflict Resolution unit desk officers, Agro Rangers and intelligent officers following directive from commandant General Abdulahi Gana Mohammadu on the need to protect critical infrastructures across the state.

In the light of the above, Nigeria security and Civil Defence Oyo state have deployed personnel with other sister agencies to ensure that peace is sustained and critical national assets are protected.

“The Endsars protest which has been peaceful should not allow disgruntled elements to cause untold hardship on people they are fighting for.

“While the command is determined to protect innocent protesters as well as lives and properties of other citizens of Nigeria irrespective of who they are and where they are from, the general public is hereby warned to desist from any act of violence in the state

“As much as we appreciate your concern for us as well as good governance please stop attacking Security agents or their formations, they are your parents, brothers, sisters and friends ,do not destroy government properties because it is our common wealth and heritage” the statement added.

Commandant Akinsanya pray that God will grant all families who have lost loved one in this period the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
