The Oyo state Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu has again called for peace and calm in the state especially between security agents and members of the public.
Mrs Dosunmu who made this appeal during a media parley in his office in Ibadan, the oyo state capital stated that aftermath the #EndSARS Protest which also swept across some states in the country, there has been noticeable bridge of trust among members of the public and security agents especially men and officers of the Nigeria Police force.
She expressed her displeasure to the unnecessary killings of police officers in the state during the protest and condole with the state commissioner of police, Joe Enweowu, members of the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of their souls.
Mrs Dosunmu appealed to members of the public to give peace a chance and enhance the peaceful returns of police officers across the state to their duty posts in order to ensure security of lives and properties as yuletide draws near.
The state NOA director urges police officers to put behind them all that happened and considered it as needed sacrifice to their nation and resume back to their duty posts as directed by the Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed for security and nolmacy to returns to the state.
Mrs Dosunmu assures them of her agency support and cooperation at all times and advised members o the public to always see police as their friends and not foes as only this can further strengthening the relationship between police and members of the public for the benefit of all and the interest of the nation as a whole.
