The Nigeria Medical Association, Oyo State chapter has appeal to the state government to reconsider the opening of schools in the state as this may not be safe for the school pupils and indeed citizens of the state.

In a release signed by the chairman of the association Dr Akin Sodipo and Secretary Dr Oluwaseun Adebayo, NMA said the state government must also put a cap on the number of congregants at any religious gathering for now to help study the trend of the disease for a little more time.

It further implore the state government to to continue to further enforce the existing measures to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The association added that this becomes important being a critical stakeholder in the war against the pandemic especially as it affected the state.
