The immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State chapter, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Dr Akin Sodipo said the recent election of new executives of the association was free, fair and without any bickering.
Dr Sodipo disclosed this in a chat with NigerianAlert news on the outcome of the election to ushered in new executives of the association.
The former Chairman said the association under his watch gave priority to carrier advancement of his members as well as their welfare which reflected in the conduct of members before, during and after the recently concluded election.
He added part of his effort in area of welfarism for his members was the recent fixing of air conditioners and projectors with electronic screens while comfortable conference chairs were also fitted.
Dr Sodipo commended members of the NMA in Oyo State for composting themselves in orderly manner during the election which resulted into peaceful exercise in the state comparing to some states where there were serious protest.
The NMA election which was held on Saturday through virtual was supervised by the former Chairman of the association in the state, who is also the current Secretary, Oyo State Primary Health Board, Dr Muideen Olatunji.
