The Minority Leader,  Oyo State House of  Assembly  Honourable  Asimiyu Alarape  has told  politicians to be faithful to people the people who  voted them into office by  putting  smiles on the faces through provision of dividends of democracy to them.

The legislator, a former speaker in  the Assembly  in a statement  thanked    members of his constituency for their support and cooperation since he assumed office in the 9th Assembly.

Hon. Alarape who represents Atiba State Constituency  in the Assembly on the platform  of All Progressive Congress (APC),  said it is very important that politicians especially those who  are  elected into office by their  people appreciate and  fulfil their electioneering campaign promises after assuming office,  saying such would encourage and motivate them to do more.

He said member of his  constituency have benefited from his various empowerment scheme  irrespective of  the party they belong

“I have  done  financial empowerment for 100 women  across my  constituency, the gesture cut across people from different parties in my constituency and those  who contributed to my success during the election, and I have not been biased.”

“Also sometimes last year during the yuletide season, I   put smiles on the faces  of some people and I  hope to do more as soon as I have the opportunity.

He urged those who are yet to benefit from his empowerment scheme to be patient as plans are on to extend  same gesture to them.

“Plans  are on to provide good roads in my  constituency to boost economic  activities of the area. The bad ones  including the sunmu bridge will also  be rehabilitated.

On his activities in the Assembly, Hon Asimiyu said he has  always been in  support  of  things  that will promote  and improve the welfare of the House and the  people of the  state  irrespective of where they come from.

“I commend the speaker Hon. Adebo  Ogundoyin for his performance and his quality  leadership since he assumed office as the speaker
