Osun Extends Lockdown By Fourteen Days

The state of Osun has extends its lock down for another fourteen days in a bid to curb the rampaging corona virus pandemic which is spreading like wild fire across the state.

This is coming less than 24 hours the federal government also extended lock down in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The state government also believes this order will ensure a total defeat of coronavirus virus in the state.

The state government is also to suspend the lock down for forty hours for the people of the state to be able to get foodstuffs at home during the new order.

“This will allow our people to re-stock to survive this lockdown period, the lockdown is suspended between Wednesday, 15th and Thursday, 16th April, 2020.”

“The second lockdown shall therefore commence midnight of Thursday, April 16, 2020.

“All markets and land boundaries remain closed during the suspension of the lockdown and the lockdown period. Also, the ban on all public gatherings remains in force.”

“We shall continue to provide palliatives to our people to cushion the laws guiding the operation of this lockdown and the general security of the people are in force and the relevant security agencies are on notice to ensure compliance and the safety and security of the people.”
