The Ogun Solidarity Movement (OSM) has congratulated 26-year-old Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe after winning the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show tagged Lockdown edition.
In a release signed by its President Lekan Shobo Shobowale and made available to journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital by its spokesperson Damilola Adekanlu, the group commended efforts put in the contest by LAYCON which ensure his emergence as winner.
OSM stated that LAYCON who began his musical journey at an early age has now emerged as one of Nigeria’s most promising new school acts and a pride to the state.
While commenting on the appointment of LAYCON as Ogun State youth Ambassador by the state governor Dapo Abiodun and criticisms that are trailing the development on some social media, the group said, “irrespective of the kind of contest and his way to victory, one thing that is sure is the young man determination not to be distracted no matter the circumstances.
His simplicity and maturity during the 70 days contest reflected the true attributes of “Ogun standard” which most times is always rare as displayed by winner”.
The statement then urges youth in the state to remain focus and steadfast irrespective of what they may be going through adding that the future is theirs if only they do not rest on their oars.
“On behalf of all members of the Ogun State Solidarity Movement (OSM), I congratulates my brother LAYCON for this achievement and wish him more of this in future”.
