The Political Head/Administrator of Oke’Badan North LCDA Alhaji Ganiyu Abiodun Omotoso has joined other Ibadan son’s and daughters to commiserate with the family of the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (Aje Ogunguniso 1) who joined his ancestors last Sunday.

Alhaji Omotosho who is also a 2023 Ibadan North West state constituency hopeful in a release made available to journalists in Ibadan stated that Oba Adetunji would be missed for his peaceful reign and development brought to Ibadanland.

Alhaji Omotosho who was a house of assembly aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019 condoles with Olori Rashidat, children, families, and all indigenes and friends of Ibadanland on the passage of the great monarch.

Oba Adetunji, 93 passed away in the early hours of this morning at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Omotosho said, with the passage of the monarch, Ibadan land has lost a great man, a leader per Exellence and a great lover of Ibadan city who ruled with the fear of Almighty Allah.

” The late Olubadan was a father to all who always ready to offered wise counsel to all irrespective of party affiliation, tribes and social standings”

The House of Assembly hopeful added that though Oba Adetunji’s life span on the throne was brief, it was full of landmark achievethat the people of Ibadan will not forget easily.

The council Boss also extended his condolence message to the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), the Olubadan in Council and entire sons and daughters of Ibadanland.

“I prayed that Almighty Allah forgive Oba Soliu Adetunji shortcomings and admit him to aljanat fridaus.”
