The former Oyo State commissioner for finance, Abimbola Adekanmbi has advised the Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to addressing pressing issues affecting the people of Oyo State.
Mr Adekanmbi stated this on a live radio programme in Ibadan Saturday morning.
The former commissioner described as unnecessary the recent comments of the state government about the missing #5.2bn allegedly withdrew by the Abiola Ajimobi led state government towards the end of the tenure.
He expressed disappointment in the concerted lies about his former boss and called on the state government to move on and face squarely the business of governance.
Mr Adekanmbi said former Governor Ajimobi government can never withdrew such money within the alleged few days to his government as rumoured by the Makinde administration hence the need for the people of Oyo State to disregard such unguarded statement.
The commissioner further said out of the two years Governor Makinde needs to seriously work for the people of Oyo State, seven months is already gone hence the governor should settle down for serious state business as beginning from year 2021, politics would have set in.
He disclosed that former Governor Ajimobi brought in more money to Oyo state especially the Paris club loans granted to many states.
