Members and well-wishers of Lightword Apostolic Ministries gathered together to rejoice and glorify God Almighty for the grace to celebrate another anniversary ceremony.
According to the General Overseer, Prophet Ayodele Joseph, the special service was to show gratitude and express thanks to God for his sufficient and overwhelming grace and mercy over our the leadership and members of the church.
“This year is filled with different happenings, yet, despite all, God, in his infinite mercy has decided to keep us safe and that is why we have decided to dedicate today’s service to appreciate him.”
He admonished Christians to be moderate during the Christmas celebration.
“We should know that Christmas is not a do or die affair, let us not bite more than we can chew all in the name of celebrating Christmas. And let us not because of Christmas celebration, be tagged a debtor in the new year.
“Next year is going to be a fruitful year. Those who have shed tears this year will smile in 2021. Those who have lost few or much properties shall possess much more than they could ever dreamt of next year. 2021 is going to be a blessed year.
“Also to our leaders and politicians, I believe they’ve seen how this year swallowed some of their contemporaries, I’ll implore them to do good while they’re alive and they should not oppress the less privileged because that seat they are isn’t theirs, it is God who put them there. So they should have the fear of God in their hearts.”
In their separate remarks, Elder Moses Olusegun Akanbi (JP) and L/Evang Dorcas Olubukola Akanbi, acknowledged the grace of God and also enjoined Christians to prepare themselves for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
They added that all must prepare ahead of the second coming of Jesus Christ and preach to others of his coming.
