The founder, Kasupo Unity Foundation (KUF) and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Hon Kasupo Phillips has donated boreholes to Jonku residents in Iwo road and Oguntula residents in Akinyele.
According to him, some of the reasons behind the project is to eliminate the about 40 years of lack of water which some of the communities are facing and also to provide portable safe- drinking water for people and prevent water borne diseases .
While thanking Hon Kasupo at Jonku, the Chairman, Lagelu Local Government, Mr Kehinde Adeleke, stated that sinking of the borehole in the community is timely and will really have great impacts on the people of the community.
He commended Hon. Supo Philips, prayed for him and assured him of the community’s supports in the nearest future.
Also, at Oguntula, one of the residents who spoke with the press, Ramota Isiaka, appreciated Hon Kasupo for stretching his kind gestures towards them.
“It is very rare to see people like Hon Kasupo doing these things, majority of those doing it have embezzled money while in office. But here is a man who isn’t in office and he has been doing humanity a lot of favour from his own pocket.”
The #1.4 million borehole projects were commissioned by the All Progressive Congress former chairman, Chief Akin Oke represented by Chief Lekan Adeyemo.
In his address, Chief Oke applauded Hon Kasupo for his selfless service to humanity. He however implored every member of the party to make sure they have their name registered during the upcoming party registration.
In his remark, Kasupo assured the benefiting communities of his continue support to them at all times.
“This foundation has started helping many years ago. We started lending people money to start up businesses in 2002, there are lots of students we’ve sponsored to school that we can’t count in numbers.”
“All these things we’ve been doing are underneath not until our attention was called that as a politician, we need to publicize it.”
“This borehole isn’t the first of our donation, neither will it be the last.”
