Jubilation In Ogun As Workers Receives New Wage By February

The Ogun state government has finally agreed with the organised labour in the state on thirty thousand five hundred naira as the new minimum wage in the state.

The agreement which was reached late Tuesday night in a meeting which started around 2pm and extended to the late hours of the day ended the almost eight weeks of meetings between the organised labour and the government side .

In the agreement duly signed by representatives of the organised labour in the state led by the JNC Chairman Comrade Folorunsho Olanrewaju, Comrade Emmanuel Abimbola Bankole of NLC, Comrade Bunmi Fajobi of TUC and Comrade Olusegun Adebiyi, Secretary JNC. Other Labour Leaders present are Comrade Akeem Lasisi of ASUSS , Comrade Roseline Solarin of NANNM, Comrade Ayuba Olatunji of NULGE, Comrade Titi Adebanjo of NUT, Comrade Ademola Hameed of NUAAE and Comrade Isa Olude of ASCSN

Speaking after the marathon meeting the Ogun State Head of Service Mrs Amope Chokor who led the government side, thanked His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun for the confidence he reposed in the committee with an assurance that the decision reached is the best for the workers of the state and that the payment of the new minimum wage will start from February 2020.
