It was Jubilation all the way and historic pace setting in Lagelu Local Government area of Oyo State as all groups within the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the council area put aside grievances and differences to return Hon Awoyoola Fatai Sunday Emerges the chairman of the party in the council area on Saturday.

The ward delegates during the election held at Irewole Ejioku, in Lagelu local government area of Oyo State through a consensus choose Awoyoola who emerged as the chairman of the party in the local government.

The chairman of the party while speaking to Newsmen after his emergence appreciated the people of the local government for their support and love.

He also appreciated the leaders of the party for standing behind him, promising that he would not disappoint them.

The new chairman noted that there is no crisis in Lagelu, saying that they have been calling other group to come home and not to go and stay in a hidden place and be taking pictures.

While congratulating the new Chairman, former chairman of the council, Hon Abiodun Oladeji said the 27 local government party executives were choosen through consensus from the 14 wards across the council with two each from ward 1-14 with ward eleven presenting one executive because of its peculiarity.

Hon Oladeji added that leaders in each of the ward sent in the names of their candidates so as to uphold and strengthening ethics of progressives.

The former council Boss congratulated all emerged executive members and urged them to put first the interest of members of the members in the local government and also work to promote their sale of the party.

Leaders present at the congress included Chief Kunle Sanda,Hon Charles Odunade,Hon Kehinde Adeleke,Hon Tayo Oyetunji, Hon D A Lawal,Hon Kehinde Balogun ,Hon M L Lawal ,Hon Akinmoyede Olafisoye, Chief Abisoye Fagade,Hon Remi Adebayo ,Hon Abiodun Oladeji ,Chief Soji Eniade ,Hon Debo Arowomole,Hon Aransi Akeem ,Hon Adesina Oyolola among others.
