The District Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Ori Oke Aanun (Prayer Mountain of Mercy), District headquarters, Ojo Moniya, Ibadan, Pastor Isaiah O. Alade will on Wednesday begins 20th year anniversary on the Altar with many activities already lined up for the event.
Speaking with journalists during a press briefing heralding a programme of activities lined up for the event at the church premises, Alade disclosed that high point of the anniversary will be the commissioning of the road leading to the Prayer mountain Odusokun bus stop by the Oyo State governor Engr Seyi Makinde on Sunday 22nd August, 2021.
He informed that the church had spent over N50million on the road saying he considered the long term benefits of the road to the church and the residents of the area before embarking on the construction.
The cleric who is known to be given free fuel and ticket fee to okada riders in the area added that new fifty helmets will again be distributed to okada riders in the area.
While commenting on some national issues raised by journalists at the briefing said: “Uniting the country is one of the roles of the church and we must take that responsibility such as the road we talking about, the road which has been a nightmare for the people of the area is and we have spent over N50million on its construction.”
Speaking on one of the challenges being encountered in the course of the project, pastor Alade said: “One of the challenges we are facing is that some people are not happy with the construction of the road. You can imagine a situation whereby a family is insisting that the portion of the road in the front of their house must not form part of the project. We are still appealing to the family as I speak.”
Pastor Alade added that the spirit filled programme will also features song ministrations by invited gospel singer and Ori Oke Aanun choir.
