One of the prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State and a former speaker of the Oyo State house of Assembly Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu has responded to the comment by a former Governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala that she may soon return to the major opposition party in the state APC.
Senator Sunmonu disclosed this while speaking with Journalists at the inauguration of the caretaker committees for the ADC in the state.
It would be recalled that two Saturdays ago on an ibadan based private radio, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala stated that as the chairman, reconciliation committee in the state, he is in talk with many aggrieved APC members including Senator Sunmonu.
While responding to the comment, Senator Sunmonu affirmed that she is still a Bonafide member of ADC because she contested on the platform of the the party last year and she has never for one second denied the membership of the party.
Senator Sunmonu said, “ADC as one of the coalition parties in the 2019 governorship election in the state is only interested in good governance which Goveernor Seyi Makinde is currently representing.
She said, “trouble has never been part of me and am not a trouble maker, just that I don’t like cheating from anybody.
The former Senator commended the good works of Governor Seyi Makinde which has greatly changed the face of politics and governance across the state and promise to continue to partner with the Governor in his effort of making life meaningful for the people.
