The Oyo State commissioner for information and mass mobilization Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun has disclosed that despite working in the current government of Governor Seyi Makinde, he is a member of African Democratic Alliance (ADC)
Dr Olatunbosun made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with Nigeria Alert News reporter Fatima Adedeji in his office.
He explained that his appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde is because of the coalition his party ADC entered into with People’s Democratic Party few days to the governorship election to unseat the APC led government of eight years.
He stated that going back to his former party APC is not on the pipeline now as some of the factors that made him leave the party still remains and yet to be resolved.
Dr Olatunbosun said some of the electoral promises of the state government have been fulfilled which included free education, prompt payment of salaries to civil servants in the state, employment through agriculture and provision of social amenities.
The lecturer turned politician stated that more teachers will be soon recruited be recruited into the state teaching service immediately after the audit of the state civil service going on while hundreds unit of cars have also been recently distributed to security outfits in the state.
The former council Boss believed this year budget can best be described as the first realistic budget in the past eighteen to twenty years adding that its only God that can determine the political future of Governor Makinde.
He called on the people of Oyo State to continue to support the govt of Seyi Makinde through prayer and allow the honeymoon to continue beyond 2023 assuring the governor will not disappoint them.
