The Ogun State Solidarity Movement (OSM) has kicked against what it perceived to be alleged partiality in the selection process in the on-going Extended Special Public Works Programme initiated by the Federal Government.
In a release by its President Lekan Shobo Shobowale, and made available to news men in Abeokuta through its spokesperson Damilola Adekanlu, the group calls for free and fair selection process in order to achieve the main goal the programme was initiated by the Federal Government.
It expressed surprise by the way some political leaders hijacked the programme as if the selection is based on political affliation and urge relevant agency or supervisory parastals of government to ensure fairness and justice at the exercise.
The group added that many associations, groups and individuals are daily losing interest in the recruitment because of the way the selections committee are going about the process.
OSM admonished youth in the state to remain calm and shun any acts that can jeopardize the peace and conducive atnosphere the Gateway state is currently enjoying.
