Story By Akinola Emmanuel

The former Nigeria President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has commended the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his Osun state counterpart, Gboyega Oyetola over the peaceful take-over of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

Saraki who was also a former Governor of Kwara state described the two governors as state men for putting the needs of the students first and working together across party lines to find an amicable solution to the prolonged ownership crisis that plagued LAUTECH for many years.

“I recalled that in 2017 when the university was shut for about two years, I intervened in the matter and had meetings with lecturers, students and alumni of the great institution.”

“The 8th Senate also passed a motion on the need for the quick resolution of the crisis. Today, all of us can rejoice that the great institution is about to regain its old glory. Kudos again to the two Governors!”
