The immediate past Majority Leader, Oyo State house of assembly, Hon Kehinde Subair has described the passage of late Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdul Ganiy Adekunle Salaudeen, Oloogunebi Ajinase as a huge loss to the state.

Subair expressed his condolences to the late monarch’s family, the people of Iseyin, Government and indeed the entire citizens of Oyo State.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Monday, the Oyo APC stalwart said that the State had lost one of its most cerebral and colourful royal fathers who combined brilliance with admirable traditional flamboyance.

He described the late monarch as a successful traditional leader during his stint and was ever willing to avail the government his wise counsel on issues of development and social justice.

The lawmaker also observed that in spite of the late monarch’s commitment to Islam, the rich, cultural heritage of the ancient town flourished under his leadership, the same way Iseyin witnessed unprecedented level of development, peace and prosperity during his reign.

He said the late Aseyin would be remembered as one of the patriots whose commitment to their community is unprecedented.

“On behalf of my family and my extended political family, I commiserate with the members of the immediate and extended families of the late monarch, the Aseyin-in- Council, Oyo State Council of Traditional Rulers and the entire people of Iseyin on the passage of our highly revered Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Adekunle”.
