A former member of the Nigeria House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon Tayo Sarumi has joined other numerous Nigerians to mourn the death of former Oyo State Governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Hon Sarumi who represented Ibadan North federal constituency between 2003 and 2007 said Akala’s death was very painful especially at this time.
In a condolence message made available to journalists in Ibadan through his media office, Hon Sarumi said he received the news of the death of Otunba Akala with a rude shock especially when just after his arrival from Abuja.
Hon. Sarumi while commiserating with the people of Ogbomoso land over the death of Akala enjoined them not to mourn but rather celebrate by taking solace in the fact that Alao Akala made them proud with the level of development the State witnessed during his tenure and many people he raised.
He thereafter prayed God Almighty to grant him eternal rest and grant his immediate family, the APC family and the state as a whole the needed fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Also, Hon Sarumi has sent condolence messages to family of the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (Aje Ogunguniso 1) and Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi Ajagungbade 111 who joined their ancestors recently.
Hon Sarumi stated that Oba Adetunji and Oba Oyewunmi would be missed for their peaceful reign and development brought to Ibadanland and Ogbomoso land.
Folarin said with the passage of the two monarchs, Ibadan land and Ogbomoso has truly lost great kings, custodians of culture and a leader per Excellent.
He extended his condolence message on behalf of his teeming supporters in Ibadan North federal constituency and Oyo South senatorial district and Oyo State as a whole.
He added that their reign was full of landmark achievement which the people of Ibadan and Ogbomoso will not forget easily.
The PDP chieftain in the state also extended his condolence message to the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, all son’s and daughters of Ibadanland and Ogbomoso.
“I prayed that Almighty Allah forgive Oba Soliu Adetunji and Oba Oyewunmi shortcomings and admit them to aljanat fridaous.”
