The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Chuks Enweowu, has warned erring
members of the public especially hoodlums in the state to desist from attacking police officers performing their duties.
The CP stated gave this warning on Wednesday while addresing journalists in his office in Ibadan.
He dsaid never will he allowed or tolerate any of his officers to be attacked, molested, maltreated or killed while discharging their constitutional responsibilities just like it happened during the recent #EndSARS protest.
CP Enweowu said the officers in the command has resumed back to their duty posts while some whose stations were raised during the protest had also been relocated to a temporary offices pending the rehabilitation of the offices burnt.
He emphasised on the need for change in orientation by members of the public and advised them to stay away from jungle justice which is gradually becoming the order of the day.
Enweowu added that the command is fully prepared to forestall any forms of attack on any of its officer on duty and will henceforth not taking it lightly.
While giving update on suspects in connection with killing of officers during Endsars, CP Enweowu disclosed that arrangement is in top gear to ensure they are taken to court for proper prosecution.
