A Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Abuja ( RMFAC) Hon Bimbo Kolade has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of the 2020 Eid el Maulud celebration.

In a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Hon Kolade said it is important for faithfuls to use this important celebration in the Muslim calendar worldwide to pray for peace in Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole as well as leaders in all positions of authority especially with the recent #EndSARS Protest that almost brought the nation to its kneel.

“As we rejoice in the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed, let us be mindful of the need to pray for peace and unity among the citizens, which form the fulcrum for the progress of our dear country.

“It is not coincidental that this is coming just after the nationwide protest but a divine arrangement, to give us the opportunity to lift up our voices in supplication
to Allah, for total restoration and healing of our country.

“This time calls for fervent prayers for God to intervene towards the sustenance of our cherished democracy as well as guidance for our leaders in order for them to truly meet the yearnings and aspirations of the generality of the people”, Kolade added.

He called on the people of oyo state to continue to live in harmony and tolerant of each other, irrespective of religion or political affliation.

He wished the Muslims a happy Eid El Maulud celebration.
