The crisis within the fold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State is far more than over as two prominent chieftains of the party in the state , Femi Babalola Jogor and Adebisi Olopoeyan attended shunned the southwest stakeholders meeting called by the state governor Engr Seyi Makinde and attended another one organised in Lagos.
At the two meetings, reconciliation committees to look into crisis within the party were constituted, while former Osun state governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola was appointed as Chairman reconciliation committee at Ibadan meeting, Femi Babalola Jogor emerged to chair that of Lagos meeting.
The constitution of the reconciliation in the party was one of the resolutions reached at the end of a zonal meeting of the party with leaders of PDP across south west states in attendance.
Also, in Ibadan, the leaders of the party which included former Ekiti State Governor Segun Oni, Party chieftain, Bode George, former Osun Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the host, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde emphasised on the need for unity and cohesion in the southwest states.
For Governor Makinde, the party in the southwest states must be ready to work together so that PDP as a national party can reclaim the nation’s Presidency.
