COVID -19: Osi Bashorun Adeduntan Donates Face Masks, Cash To individuals, Groups

The Osi Bashorun Of Ibadanland and founder, Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan Foundation (DAPAF ), Chief Dr. Azeez Adeduntan in his usual character of shunning unnecessary noise and funfare has in the spirit of the season of the rampaging pandemic /Corona Virus donated safety tools to selected groups and individuals in and across the state.

In a statement through his media aide Lekan Shobowale, the international surgeon few days ago donated face masks, sanitizers among others to two different socio-cultural groups within Ibadanland for onward distributions to the people of Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole.

While presenting the face masks to the groups, Chief Dr. Adeduntan emphasised the need for organizations, religious bodies and well meaning individuals to always learn to give back to the society without being forced or for any pecuniary gains.

He stated that donating the items to the groups was in line with his desire to reach out to larger members of the public which the groups represent without politicizing the distribution adding that this period of Pandemic of COVID -19 is not a season of politics but a time to be our brother’s keeper.

Also, in line with his spirit of compassion , Chief Dr. Adeduntan has also assisted some members of the public with cash gifts so as to alleviate their sufferings at this critical time.

The former commissioner who was emotional after listening to the complaints of the people decided to assist them with some cash so as for them to use it to address their immediate and urgent needs.

As if that was not enough, a middle aged woman who had been diagnosed with malaria and later stroke going by her medical results has also been assisted courtesy Chief Dr. Azeez Adeduntan.

The woman who has been asked to pay the deposit of fifty thousand naira at the hospital for treatment but was unable to meet up the bill was consoled when Chief Dr. Adeduntan extended to her a hand of fellowship.

The former commissioner of health in the state then appealed to all to continue to abide by all the safety precautions outlined by the authorities to ensure the nation get itself out of this pandemic.
