As the 2023 general election draw near, residents of Oyo State who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) have been admonished to get them.

The Oyo State Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Barr Mutiu Agboke made this call during an advocacy visit to the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Agbara, Ibadan.

Barrister Agboke called on over 700,000 residents of the state yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC’s) to come forward to get them.

He urged them to also participate effectively in the on-going continuous voters registration exercise in order for them to be able to choose leaders of their choice.

He said, with the on going exercise, no Nigerian will be disenfranchised or be left out of participating in the election.

He added that the continuous voters registration which is on going online will reduce overcrowding at registration centres in view of security situation and the Covid 19 pandemic, and make registration processes easier.

Barrister Agboke also use the visit to call on the over 700,000 residents of the state yet to collect their permanent voters card (pvc) to come forward to get them.

He emphasised the need for people to participate effectively in the on-going continuous voters registration exercise in order for them to be able to choose leaders of their choice.

The INEC REC and his entourage was received at the church by its leadership led by Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere.

Special prayer were also said for the INEC team at the visit.
