It was an atmosphere of jubilation as over 40,000 APC Network members across the LGAs in Nigeria captured by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) under the auspices of the National Coordinator Bishop Emmanuel Olusegun Adedokun for the Special Work Project
The intending beneficiaries were registered for the exercise through the APC Network LGA business managers assistance of the Special Assistant to Network LGAs’ Coordinators Hon Oladiipo Feyisayo.
The scheme is an initiative of the Federal Government aimed at cushioning the effect of unemployment on people as an average of twenty thousand naira (#20,000) will be paid to each beneficiary for 3 months, which will on the other hand have a positive impact on the lives of the Network grassroot members and to increase the level of standard of living.
There are certain steps to be taken before one could benefit from the scheme including proper registration by the APC Network managers.
Journalists however gathered that only few members of the affiliated APC political groups have been able to benefit due to the inability of groups to have access to necessary facilities needed.
In order to ensure that the benefits of the scheme did not elude members of APC Network, Bishop Adedokun Emmanuel Olusegun brought in APC Network business managers to provide all the necessary materials, logistics and securities which led to the registration of the intending beneficiaries at ease.
Speaking with newsmen, some of those registered including, the physically challenge members thanked Bishop Adedokun Emmanuel Olusegun for appointing managers, that embarked on various programmes to make lives better for people.
According to them, the scheme, if finally released would enhance their standard of living.
In an interview, Bishop said he took the step because he is interested in the welfarism of the members.
