An All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in Anambra State, Andy Nnamdi Uba has defeated 13 other aspirants to emerge the party’s governorship candidate in the next November 6 elections.

The chairman of the APC primary election panel and governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, announced the outcome of the poll at Golden Tulip Hotel, Agulu Lake, early on Sunday.

Uba emerged winner with 230,201 votes while his closest rival, Johnbosco Onunkwo polled a total of 28,746 votes.

The total vote cast was 348, 490.

Also, Mr Valentine Ozigbo has emerged winner of the PDP Governorship Primary exercise polling 62 votes.

The secretary of the PDP primary committee and Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu declared this after the exercise at the Women Development Committee in Awka the Anambra state capital.

Ozigbo who polled 62 votes to defeat his closest opponents Obiora Okonkwo who scored 58 followed by Sen. Uche Ekwunife who had 44 votes.
