The Osi Bashorun Of Ibadan Land Chief Dr. Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has again
extended his sympathy to victims of the fire outbreak in the popular Furniture markets in Iyaganku, Ibadan few hours after that of Akesan market, Oyo.
A statement by his spokesman, Lekan Shobowale said the the world renown cardio vascular surgeon was deeply saddened by the destruction of very valuable goods and properties in the inferno especially coming so soon after that of Oyo.
“Chief Adeduntan who just returned back to the country from United States Of America after a series of meetings with group of surgeons for the purpose of inviting them to Nigeria soon to provide medical care for the people shares in the pain and anguish of all hardworking people who lost their wares and belongings in the unfortunate fire incident.
“He assures those who suffered losses from the fire incident of his readiness to assist in his little way within its powers to support the efforts of other stakeholders to ameliorate their plight,” said the statement.
He called on the state government to put in various measures to forestall these ugly unbecoming occurrences in the future especially during harmattan dry season.
