As part of his campaign promise to reconcile all genuinely aggrieved members of PDP, the PDP National Vice Chairman SW Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja on Thursday led PDP South West Reconciliation team to Arole Iba Oluyole and staunch member of PDP in Oyo State, Chief Nureni Akanbi at his residence.
In a release by the special assistant to Arapaja on media and publicity, Ibrahim Bamitale said the team visited Akanbi to bring him back to the PDP fold.
Arapaja in his comment described Akanbi as his political leader as chosen by the late strong Ibadan politician, Lamidi Adedibu and expressed optimism that Akanbi would not allowed him to fail.
He appealed to the aggrieved party leader to come back to the fold and forget the past for the good of the party.
Chief Nureni Akanbi while responding used the avenue to expressed his displeasure and call for urgent and sincere correction in order to avoid disunity that polarized the party since 2011 and continued till 2015, before it was managed in 2019.
Chief Nureni Akanbi promise to work together for the success of the party and to make sure there is a unified party for all.
The National vice Chairman of PDP south west was accompanied by Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, Hon. Fatai Adeshina, Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Hon. Akande Modiu Allahbamusa, among others.
