As 2023 General Elections approaches, Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Market Liason, Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma has made a passionate appeal to traders and artisans in the state not to sell their votes.
Mrs Danjuma made this appeal during her visit to market traders and artisans, consists of over hundred associations in the five local government of Ogbomoso land.
The event which was held at the Soun Ogunlola town hall of Ogbomoso had members and leaders of the associations fully represented as well as community leaders.
Mrs Danjuma in her remark admonished the traders and artisans to continue giving their support to the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration in the state.
She charged them to continue to contribute their quota to making prices of commodities reachable and available to the citizenry.
The Special Adviser also disclosed at the town hall meeting that arrangement is already in top gear by the state government to empowered the poorest of the poor adding that they should prepare to ensure the present good governance in Oyo State continues beyond 2023.
Responding on behalf of other leaders of the market traders and artisans, the Iyaloja and Babaloja as well as President of Artisans group in Ogbomoso land thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his developmental and economic people driven projects in the area as well as prompt payment of salary and pensions which has directly impacted traders and also boost the state economy.
They pledged their support to the continuity of good governance in the state through re-election of the state Governor.
