By TUNDE BAMIGBADE, OKE-OGUN - A candidate for the House of Representatives for Irepo,Olorunsogo,Oorelope Federal Constituency under the platform of the Accord Party (AP) Barrister Abdulwaheed Olowonjaye says he would defeat the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the February 16 House or Representative elections.

Olowonjaye who spoke to NIGERIAN ALERT in a telephone conversation recently expressed confidence that he would emerge as the winner of the election.

According to him he said that Nigerians and the people of the constituency he wants to represent were tired of recycled politicians and that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not an option.

I will defeat both the APC,and PDP candidates, the reason is very simple, our people are tired of recycled politicians as I have earlier mentioned and PDP is not an option either

"Going for the PDP from the APC is like jumping from frying pan to fire,he added.

Olowonjaye said when elected, his administration would empower the youth in the area and see how Federal presence could be felt in the constituency.

He also said he would introduce the teaching of ethics in schools and ensure transparency.

My political philosophy is not built on desperation.I am a contented man who is only in politics to serve my people and nothing more.To me politics is not about life and death as am already known for humanitarian service. So I want my supporters to key into my philosophy to have a better society," he said.

Olowonjaye called on the law enforcement agencies to invite all candidates to a round table to sign peace agreement.

Olowonjaye said the measure would not only douse the tension in the polity, but also give the elections needed credibility before international community, saying Nigeria ripe for a hitch-free polls.
